How to get fit in 2021

Happy New Year everyone, it’s been a while since I’ve posted on here, university got in the way *sigh*, but I’m back and I have made it my new years resolution to keep posting on this site, so enjoyy!!.

It’s a New Year and it’s another opportunity to get your life back on track and become the better you. A goal I have for this year is to be fit and healthier, after doing some research and planning, I want to share with you guys tips and steps to begin fit. Let’s get into it!!

Step 1: Motivation

This is the driving fuel we need to achieve our goals, without motivation we simply can’t get it done, so in order to have motivation, you need to think of a reason why you want to make this change. You want this source of motivation to be very strong and come from within, it has to be because you want to and not for anyone else. Now once you have found that source of motivation, you are ready to start your journey

Step 2: Research

This is a neglected step that people don’t really dive too deep into. In order to succeed on this journey you need to know a lot of essential things such as what types of foods to eat, what exercises or changes you should make that would work best for you, what equipment should I use or facilities should I join to get better results. I remember when I wanted to start my fitness journey 2 years ago, I didn’t know how important having a balanced diet had, I didn’t know about the different types of workouts to implement to get faster results. I just thought I could simply just go to the gym and run on treadmill and do some Chloe ting butt workouts lol. After I did my research, I realized what I was doing wrong and I wasn’t getting the results I wanted. So long story short, do some research to know what would get you the best results

Step 3: Implementation

Now It’s time to do the work and I will separate this step into 3 parts, as there are 3 aspects that make up an healthy lifestyle and they are Nutrition, exercise and rest

Part A: Nutrition

This is very very important, I can’t stress this enough. This is currently my toughest aspect and I’ve always hated eating healthy and I don’t like fruits and vegetables right from a young age. If you’re just like me, the first thing you need to do is to take baby steps, it would be impossible to go straight to eating a balanced diet. You should start by having little goals maybe every week. For example, you could set a goal to eat 1 fruit of your choice a least 3 times in a week, and you can say you would try a salad at least twice a week . By taking this little steps you’ll notice that your improving your diet slowly but surely. A good tip is to also try new recipes, don’t be too picky and you can never know what you like without trying it.

Part B: Exercise

This is a step that is very hard but once you get the hang of it, it’ll get easier. If you can afford a gym and you have the time to go, then you can sign up for a gym to excersie, if you don’t have access to a gym then you can definitely workout at home, outside etc. There are many option, just do whatever works best for you. Now, you can decide that you just want to jog around the community everyday, or do yoga at park or do body building. It all depends on your goals, being fit doesn’t mean you should lose weight or always be at the gym. You may find that the first week my be difficult and you could even lose motivation, but DON’T STOP THERE! Go back and think about what you want to achieve and use that to push forward. YOU’VE GOT THIS!!

Part C: Rest

“All work and no play, makes Jack a dull boy”, I always remember this saying when I overwork myself. We all need to recharge and continue from where we’ve stop. You can rest by sleeping of course or doing something you love that relieves or hanging with friends. In order to be healthy you have to be healthy physically, mentally and emotionally. You need to release anything that makes not emotionally stable. Trust me life is not all rosy, as would still be problems but just work on your happiness. REST AND BE HAPPY!!

Step 4: Patience

Now, you just need to continue on this journey until you reach your goal, If you’re not seeing the results you want, just be patient and as long as you’re taking the right steps, you’ll get your results. MAKE SURE TO ALWAYS REWARD YOURSELF FROM TIME TO TIME!

How to be more social?

Tips on being more outgoing

Hello, beautiful humans, and welcome back to Peace’s perspective. Today our post is going to be about how we can be more outgoing. Personally, this is an issue that I’m still currently dealing with, and I’m trying to improve myself to be more friendly to improve my social life. I always depend on people to make the first move for a conversation; I always keep to myself except if someone approaches me, and then I entertain them for a while. I’m also not good at communicating my emotions well, which resulted in having no friends and being depressed. Today, after doing some research, I hope to give you tips to help both you and me on our self-improvement journey. LET’S GET INTO IT!!!


GO OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE


This is one of my biggest problems that I need to work on. Due to my personality, I am someone that is not a risk taker and I like to do things I’m comfortable with. In order to be more social, you need to step out of that comfort zone. This could boost your confidence in the case that you succeed in making friends or having a nice conversation with people around you and it’ll encourage you to approach more people. Keep in mind that it could also be negative in the case that you didn’t get the result you expected but that’s why you need to try and even if you fail, you shouldn’t give up because that’s how life is. You should be willing to take risks because there’s always a great result associated with a risk.


BE TRUE TO YOURSELF AT ALL TIMES


In order to make lifelong friends that are very good for you, you need to stay true to yourself and not change yourself to please people. Now, I’ve always wanted to please people all my life because I get validation from them. During my middle school days, I always wanted to be the most mature students because they get to hang out with the seniors. So, i’ll always keep to myself and keep a mysterious vibe, I would do all my homework. I’ll always be criticizing my classmates about how they are immature and I’ll say anything that I think is mature to please the seniors. This led me to not know who I am, what i like, what my personality is, or to even stay true to myself. This led me to have no friends at all because I won’t talk to anyone and I would just try to change for everyone. Now as I’m becoming more mature, I’ve finally learnt who I am and I hope to make new friends that like me for who I am in university.


TRY TO APPROACH FRIENDS THAT ARE GOOD FOR YOU


Don’t just try to be everyone’s friend because you most likely would end up not having a close group that you trust. Personally i observe people before I approach them, to make sure I’m not inviting anyone toxic into my life as they could affect me negatively. This year, i was really desperate to make friends in my final year of high school that I made a lot of toxic friends that would only act friendly to me when they need something. I would always be there to listen but they were never there to listen to my problems. So I advice to observe people a bit and then approach because it can be quite hard to distance from toxic friends.


BE NICE AND DON’T OVER STEP BOUNDARIES


I can’t stress this enough. Respecting boundaries is one of the most important thing to securing a good relationship with people. For example, if you meet someone new for the first time, don’t make insensitive jokes about their looks or their situation. Learn more about the person, if you notice they are sensitive then respect their boundaries, if you know they are the loud and very comedic type then you could maybe try to reach out and take the risk. But overall, you should also be friendly and nice.


COMMUNICATION


Lastly, a good relationship is dependent on good communication. You need to be able to learn how to communication your emotions clearly so that there is no miscommunication. This is also inevitable because there would always be arguments and disagreement. Also, if you don’t like anytime someone is doing to you, you should go meet them and tell them how you’re feeling respectfully because if you don’t tell them, they will keep hurting you and not realize it. It could also cause tension between you and your friends. So try to always be clear with what you say and be honest.

What is my body shape?

How to find your body shape

Hello everyone and welcome back to peace’s perspective and today i’ll be giving you tips on how to find your body shape. This is something that I’ve always wondered to myself, every time I got the mirror I always think to myself, “Am I pear shaped or hourglass”. I’ve tried looking at countless websites and blogs on how to know my body type and it seems like I always get hourglass but when I look in the mirror I look like a rectangle(lol). I’ve finally found the different factors that could help find your body type and trust me you might get an hourglass but everyone has different features under the hourglass category. LET’S DO THIS!!!

MEASURE YOURSELF

Obviously, the first step would be finding your measurement to know the different ratios between certain areas of your body. This could place you in the general categories such as hourglass, pear, rectangle, oval etc.

Measure your bust

To measure your bust, pick up the closest measuring tape near you and wrap the tape around the fullest part of your bust while wearing a comfortable bra that has very little padding. This is to make the measurement more accurate.( Make sure the tape is a perfect shape and isn’t slanting as this could affect the result)

Measure you waist

Measure the smallest part of your waist, and do not suck in your waist as this is not the actual circumference of your waist.

Measure your shoulder

This one is very difficult to do on your own, so it’ll be nice to have a friend help out for accuracy. Now put the beginning of the tape at the beginning of your shoulder and not your upper arm. The result you get would be multiplied by 2 (x2)

Measure your hips

Get that tape once again and measure the fullest part of your hips. Now I have a very low hip that when I was measuring my hips the tape didn’t go around my butt but below it. Now once you have all this measurement we’ll get into the categories

FINDING YOUR SHAPE

If you find that the largest part of your body is your shoulders, then you’re said to be an inverted triangle. This body type could be seen as masculine but it’s absolutely gorgeous in my opinion.

If you find that you waist is the smallest part of your body and your shoulders and hips are very similar in length then you are said to have the hourglass body type. This the body type that is the most praised in media and a lot of people desire. It is a very beautiful shape.

If you find that your hips is larger than your shoulder by 1.5 inches or greater then you have a pear body type. A lot of celebrities are known to have this shape, such as beyonce.

If you find that your shoulders, hips, and waist are the same size, then you are said to be a rectangle. This shape is also being put down in media and it’s very pretty to me

VERTICAL SHAPE

I recently just learnt what this is but It’s basically how your body looks vertical and the size of your torso versus your legs.

MEASURE YOUR BODY LENGTH

You’ll need the help of a friend or a wall and try a measure from the top of your head to the bottom of your feet in a straight line.

MEASURE YOUR TORSO LENGHT

Now measure from the top of your head to your lower waist also in a straight line and write down your measurement

MEASURE YOUR LEGS

Measure from your lower waist to the bottom of your feet in a straight line and make sure it’s in a straight line.

CALCULATION

Subtract either your torso or leg length from your body length

If you find that your torso is longer than your legs then you have a long torso and short legged

If you find that your torso is shorter than your legs then you have a short torso and long legged

If you find that your torso and legs are relatively the same size then you have a balanced body

Now that you know what your vertical shape is, you can see that it can also be a factor why you don’t look like the standard body type you got. In my example, I am pear shaped but I have a very long torso and short legs and this makes my body look stretched and I appear as a rectangle.

OTHER FACTORS

Personally I have very large arms and It can also make me appear as an inverted triangle sometimes because my arms elongate my shoulders. I’m personally insecure about it and I’m learning to accept them as they are genetics.

I hope you’ve been able to find your body type and identify why your body might not appear as how your standard category is. Remember every body shape is beautiful and you shouldn’t be ashamed of how you look as this is genetics. I remember when I’ll always be going on YouTube to search how to get lean arms but I worked them out and I got no change and realized that it’s genetics. Road to self improvement

How to improve yourself

Hello fellow people and welcome to peace’s perspective where I talk about several topics to help you. Today’s topic is about self-improvement. This is something I have trouble with especially during my high schools day. I lost myself in high school trying to figure out myself, i wanted people to like me and I wanted to be seen as a very mature kid. I always said what I wanted people to hear and I wanted to be what people wanted me to be until I realized that I do not know what I want and what my personality is. Finally, thanks to God, my family and some friends, I know know who I am and I was able to improve myself. Now let me help you on your journey on self discovery. LET’S GET INTO IT!!!

PRACTICE SAYING DAILY WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENTS TO YOURSELF

I can’t emphasize this enough because it helped me build my self-esteem and not care what people think about me. Every morning as I wake up, i go to the mirror and even though I might not look the prettiest, i comment on my pretty features and also the features I’m insecure about. Also anytime I face a challenge, I always assure myself that I can do it. SO PEOPLE, LET’S ENCOURAGE OURSELVES AND BUILD OUR SELF-CONFIDENCE AS THIS IS THE STARTING POINT!!

IDENTIFY YOUR WEAKNESSES AND AREAS OF IMPROVEMENT

Now that you have self-confidence that you can improve, you need to write down areas you think you could improve in and you can also ask for advice from trustworthy friends (beware of toxic ones). These friends could tell you things they think is not a good characteristic, there are some characteristics we have that we don’t know are hurting people, so therefore we also need the help of friends and family.

WORK ON THESE WEAKNESSES

This is the hardest step and I could take a long time to complete. It requires a lot of patience, self- discipline and determination. It also makes it easier if you have a support system as they are very useful in helping you through your tough times. I can remember a day where I gave up and accepted that I would never be able to find myself but I had people that talked me out of it and told me to continue trying and I did. I’m so happy about the choice I made and I’m currently happy with myslef

SURROUND YOURSELVES WITH POSITIVE PEOPLE

One thing I needed to do to improve myself was to remove toxic friends from my life as they made me feel bad for myself. This is where the self confidence also place a part, i had the confidence to let people out of my life and not care what they thought about me. Then, i found new friends that support me in a lot of things i do, they also give me constructive criticism to help me improve myself more, and I’m very happy right now. YOU CAN DO THIS!!!

LOOK BACK ON YOUR PROGRESS AND CELEBRATE

Now that the handwork is done, don’t forget to appreciate how far you have come. You can also share your stories with others or help people who also need this advice because there are a lot of people that really need it. SIT BACK AND RELAX TO CELEBRATE YOUR SUCCESS!!!
